Share your mental health/stigma experience.
I was depressed and suicidal for some time a few years ago. I was scared to seek help because I was afraid of what people might think of me and what my parents might think. My close friends knew about it but no one else did, until one of them told my form teacher about it one day, when I told him I was sick of living this way. I am a youth by the way. That still did not stop me from being afraid though.
How did you respond to this experience?
Till today, I always thank God for the friend who told my teacher about my dark thoughts and I thank God for my teacher who referred me to the school counsellor. I am better and stronger now thanks to them. I still have days of like "relapses" but I know how to bounce back now :)

You're not alone and if you are a youth like me, talk to your friends or a teacher you are close to. Don't be afraid to talk to a counsellor because all they want is to help you. JIA YOU!
